Marcia Harvey is an African American author. She is well-known for her ex-wife of comedian Steve Harvey. She chose to keep her private life private and out of the spotlight. Steve could not get the success he's currently enjoying, however they had been married for 14 years. The reasons behind the couple's breakup weren't revealed and rumors were always heard throughout Hollywood. Some people believe it was because of Steve Harvey's cheating however others attribute it as a result of his choice to pursue a comedy profession. Steve Harvey dispersed her from his two daughters when she was expecting their third child, which caused her to be devastated. Despite all of the hardships, she managed to build a successful career as a fashion designer and writer. Marcia Harvey was born to an African-American family. They didn't have the richest of families. Her first job was with Saks Fifth Avenue, a department store. She came across Steve a few years later at a party hosted by a mutual friend's party. The two became lovers and were married in the year 1980. The couple had twin girls in 1982, and Steve worked as an insurance salesman. Steve was already disillusioned by his work and decided to become an entertainer, particularly stand-up comedy. Steve and Marcia were unable to get with each other and it was later reported that they'd been living apart since 1990. Marcia Harvey was famous for her divorce from Steve Harvey and marriage. Marcia ultimately filed for divorce in 1993. Marcia needed to appear before the court after her divorce and Steve Harvey's denial of the child support and alimony payment.
