Lil Tecca
Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was born on
August 26, 2002. He is popularly known as Lil Tecca. The single he released in
2019 "Ransom", was his breakthrough hit. It reached the top spot at 4
in the Billboard Hot 100. The mixtape he released as his debut"We Love You
Tecca (2019), featured the single. It peaked at #4 on the US Billboard 200. The
mixtape also featured the singles "Love Me", "Did It Again"
and "Did It Again". His first studio album called Virgo World (2020),
debuted at #10 on the Billboard 200 and included the Billboard Hot 100
chart-topping songs "Dolly" and "When You Down". The
mixtape that he followed up with We Love You Tecca 2 was released in August
2021. It included the songs "Repeat It", "Lot of Me" and
others. Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was the son of Jamaican immigrants. He was
born August 26 2002, in Queens, New York City. Sharpe was born in Queens'
Springfield Gardens, and later relocated to Cedarhurst on Long Island. Sharpe
had always hoped to be a part of the NBA when he was a kid However, at the age
of 12, Sharpe decided to pursue a career in music. Sharpe completed his studies
at Lawrence High School. Tecca, nine years old at the age, was rapping
alongside the other students with his Xbox to record. One of their tracks about
diss was uploaded to SoundCloud several years ago, however it has since been
deleted. When he was a child, he didn't have any intentions of pursuing music a
profession and instead , he envisioned becoming an NBA star. However, in his
middle school years, his interest in basketball faded and was contemplating
taking music more seriously. The first single he released, "Tectri",
which gained some popularity in the early 2017 was produced in collaboration
and released by Lil Gummybear. Other preliminary tracks of his include
"Callin". Just a year later, Tecca's career began to take off by
releasing his smash single "Ransom", which was originally released on
Cole Bennett's Lyrical Lemonade YouTube channel on May 22nd on the 22nd of May
in 2019. The song peaked at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and has
received more than 800 million plays on Spotify and more than 300 million views
on YouTube.
